Jodie Cook, ASLA, PLA, SITES AP is the President of Jodie Cook Landscape Architecture, a California-licensed firm specializing in sustainable and ecological design. A Sustainable SITES Accredited Professional, Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL), Watershed-Wise Landscape Practitioner (WWLP), and USGBC/ReScape Wildfire Defense Certified professional, Jodie brings a deep commitment to regenerative practices in the built environment.

She teaches The Sustainable Landscape and Native Garden Design in the Horticulture and Sustainable Design Department at Saddleback College. Her signature Turf-to-Native-Garden program, NatureScape, was featured in the American Society of Landscape Architects’ national policy showcase, Smart Policies for a Changing Climate, in Washington, DC.  Jodie also develops training modules for landscape contractors, guiding the transition from conventional practices to sustainable, ecologically-based design and maintenance.

With over 25 years of experience designing gardens and more than 15 years teaching sustainable design and the watershed approach, Jodie’s work and perspectives have been featured in CNN, Veranda, The Wall Street Journal, The Orange County Register, and other media outlets.

A lifelong learner, Jodie is currently completing a degree in sustainability science with a focus on ecological systems.
