About This Course
Discover creative ways to make your landscape more beautiful and watershed wise by integrating permeable materials throughout the garden. Learn how to design for both function and style as we explore walkable ground covers, working with gravel and decomposed granite for paths and patios, and properly installing brick, flagstone and concrete pavers.

Marianne Simon
Instructor
Marianne was born to a family of artists and has spent her life exploring creativity in its many facets. In 1999 she discovered the world of landscaping and a new way of expressing herself. With a degree in landscape architecture, she joined G3, Green Gardens Group managing 'groundbreaking' programs, teaching and spreading the word about watershed-wise landscaping, and doing all she can to shift the pendulum back towards a healthy planet.
As current CEO of Watershed Wise, LLC, G3’s sister company, she produces and manages the on-demand content.
Amber Tippett
Amber Tippett is the proprietrix of Sidewalk Poppies Landscape Design based in Long Beach, CA. She has extensive experience in organic horticulture and agriculture, has led several school garden education programs, holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, and an M.S. in Organizational Psychology from Vanguard University.
She is committed to training and development, believing that continued education is a cornerstone of a curiosity-driven and vibrant life. She is a certified Watershed Wise Landscape Professional through Green Gardens Group and enjoys teaching the science and art of conscientious garden design.Â
